Green Carpet had the pleasure of blending the insatiable energies of a music man with heart (groom Travis Reynolds), and an innovative foodie who celebrates family and romance (bride Kate Boswell)... resulting in a backyard wedding bash, that rocked the hills of La Canada.  The stunning location, you see pictured, was at the brides' family home.  Our mission was to sustain the natural beauty of the property, while weaving the intentions of Kate + Travis into each thoughtful detail.

At our first meeting, Kate expressed her love for gourmet, creative tacos and sliders.  Our challenge was feeding 150 people in her parents backyard, elegantly, with her next love- food trucks.  As I dove into our list of vendors, naturally there were reservations on who could REALLY pull this off... the challenge was finding the truck who could rock it... Miho Gastrotruck, was our number one choice from the beginning!  A farm to table concept that celebrates fresh, local, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients to create a one-of-a-kind foodie experience.  The menu consisted of a taco + slider bar (of course) with hand crafted sauces +  fixings.  Dessert was nailed by the Buttermilk Truck who arrived with red velvet pancakes, mini bricks and churro donut holes- beyond insane!  It actually doesn't stop there... instead of a cake, Precious from Sugarjones brought her A-game with an assortment of her award winning mini cupcakes, parfaits and wee desserts, that sent even the most discerning guest into a blissful food comma.

In addition to all of the deliciousness, the guests got their groove on with flowing cocktails from our Mixologist, Bridget Sullivan at The Mixer Co.  The signature cocktail of the evening was a "Mojo Rising", Blackberry Vodka Mojito, along with a Raspberry Rosemary Martini- let's just say, there might have been a few Uber calls, courtesy of the exceptional staff at  Jeffrey Valet.

The floral design + linen choices came next, our favorite bespoke element!  In getting to know our couple their love for rich tones, the Fall season and earthy touches (Capricorn + Taurus) seem to play a large part in our design board. Mrs. Boswell, the mother of bride, had a gorgeous collection of vintage colored glassware that we had to incorporate.  A long time friend of the family, Rochelle at Verdugo Florist, was instrumental in executing the floral design.  The colors were specific in the heart of our bride, and in an effort to manifest her dream of an anti-pink Fall fantasy, we were on a mission to find aubergine viburnum berries- not an easy task, but well worth the effort!  They added the perfect touch of deep color and texture to each place setting, while popping on the flax linen napkin.  The antique rentals provided by Rainy at Circa Vintage Rentals culminated our vision, while setting the unique backyard setting onto another level of elegance and sophistication. We thank her and her wonderful family for their contribution!

The gorgeous photos, enclosed were taken by One Love Photography.   They captured the moments that were the most memorable, and brought us back to that magical day... we thank them for showing up ready to be apart of, what truly was, an exceptional team!   #becomingmrsreynolds + #mojorising
